Where the mill stopped, the craftsman started.
Milled from exceptionally tough and corrosion-resistant Naval brass, the Crusader Ex Machina was produced in a limited run, but a handful came off the mill blemished and shelved, waiting while the rest shipped. Rather than scrap them, each one was returned to the bench and given a second pass by hand, transforming imperfection into a new design feature. Reborn not in spite of the process, but because of it.
Machined. Marred. Reborn.
Notes: #1 appears to have two distinct markings from the machining process: a small “+” on one of the lower beads and a “registration mark” on the opposite side on one of the upper ring beads. Marks can be seen in pictures. I choose to leave them as part of its story.
