BACKGROUND:
This cross is our interpretation of the beautiful Santiago Cross. It was made the traditional way... by hand. No digital 3D renderings for this special piece. Starting with a simple block of wax, the cross was hand-carved and ultimately solidified in silver using the sand casting process. Sand casting is the oldest known casting process and can be traced back to the Bronze Age. Each cross is 100% made in-house, one by one, in the good ol’ USA.
We use an ultra white Sterling Silver which has a beautifully brighter color as well as an anti-tarnishing characteristic and can be hardened for better durability.
