ABOUT THIS PIECE:
I pulled an American-mined Gold Canyon turquoise cabochon out of my cabinet, where it had been waiting for the right project. I sketched a Southwestern-style pendant, pictured it in solid copper, and made the whole thing by hand. The stone is bezel-set and framed by a twisted rope border, and the scalloped edge, with its deeply stamped dot detail, gives the piece its petal-like "bloom.” In keeping with the handmade design I engraved “dLS ‘26” as the signature mark.
CARE:
Copper develops a natural patina over time. To brighten it, gently rub with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, lotions, perfume, and chemicals to protect both the stone and the finish.
