Bronze is having a moment.
This bronze half-skull ring was hand-carved in wax, cast in molten metal, polished, and lined with a permanent silver sleeve inside. No 3D modeling or printing. Old-world methods, start to finish.
One practical note: bronze can leave a harmless greenish tint on skin from oxidation. My fix?… A thin silver sleeve on the inside… literally a silver lining. The darker ring in the photos is mine, worn daily, so you can see the developed patina over time.
As a metalsmith, I’ve always believed bronze deserved more attention. With gold and silver prices climbing, I think collectors are finally starting to agree.
There’s something primal about it. The Bronze Age was the moment humanity learned to transform raw earth into tools, weapons, and identity. Wearing bronze meant skill and craft, not just wealth. That ethos still holds.
Some materials never lose their soul. I think bronze is one of them.
