The St. Michael Prayer:
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
BACKGROUND:
Saint Michael the Archangel is the patron of protectors: police, military, first responders, and anyone who stands watch for others. The Sentinel Pendant honors that tradition in a shield of hand-finished sterling silver.
The Shield Insignia:
- Wings: the archangel, a messenger and warrior of heaven
- Halo: his divine, angelic nature
- Spear: the lance Michael wields against evil
- Cross: the faith he fights for and defends
- Horns below, split by the spear: the defeat of Satan
- Lightning bolts: the divine power and might
Brushed silver stands against a deep oxidized background, giving it a beautiful contrast.
